1. The EFC is pleased to announce that it will conduct a modular training programme on Dealing with Employee Misconduct on Friday the 16^th and Friday the 23^rd of March 2012, at the EFC Auditorium, Rajagiriya. Registration of participants will commence at 8.30 a.m. on Friday 16^th March 2012, and the programme will be conducted from 9.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. on the 16^th and 23^rd.

2. This programme has been designed to provide HR Managers and Executives with a thorough overview of the disciplinary investigation process, and to enable them to understand the role they play in maintaining discipline in an organization. It will also enable them to :

•  Identify types of employee misconduct,
•  Understand the concepts of preventive and corrective discipline, and advise line managers and executives in this regard,
• Build skills in areas such as the conducting of preliminary investigations into alleged acts of misconduct and the drafting of Show Cause Letters,
• Understand the HR Manager/Executive’s responsibilities in relation to documentation and evidence connected to the disciplinary process,
• Liaise effectively with outside actors during the course of the investigation/inquiry,
• Identify possible gaps in the disciplinary process of the organization,  

3. The resource faculty will be drawn from the professional staff of the EFC, whose wide experience in handling cases of misconduct and advising member companies on disciplinary issue will enhance the practical value of the workshop.

4. The registration fee per participant will be Rs.10,000/- +  VAT (for member companies) and Rs.12,000/- +VAT  (for non-members).  The EFC VAT number is 409044077 7000, and you will receive a separate invoice in respect of the VAT payment.

5. Please ensure that your nominations as per the format set out overleaf, together with your payment in the form of cheques made in favour of the “Employers Federation of Ceylon” reach us by Monday 12^th March 2012. However, please note that confirmation of phoned or faxed-in nominations will only be made if payment in respect of such nominations is received by us within 7 days of notification. Please note also that refunds in respect of cancelled nominations will only be made if they are communicated to us at least three working days before the date of the programme.
