1. The Employers' Federation of Ceylon is pleased to announce that it will conduct a half-day Workshop on “Dealing with Employee Absenteeism” from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at the EFC Auditorium, Rajagiriya, on Wednesday 14^th March 2012.  

2. This Workshop will be conducted by Messrs. Ravi Peiris and Kanishka Weerasinghe, Director-General and Deputy Director-General respectively of the EFC, and will cover the following areas:-

• What is absenteeism, and understanding the difference between authorized and unauthorized absence?
•   Manpower planning and computing the cost of absenteeism.
• The impact of absenteeism on a company’s overall performance.
• Measures to prevent absenteeism - awareness campaigns, collating and disseminating information etc.
• Disciplinary aspects of unauthorized absence.

3. The cost per participant is Rs.2,500/- plus VAT of 12% (EFC Member Companies) and Rs.2,900/- plus VAT of 12%  for non-members. The EFC VAT Registration Number is 409044077-7000, and you will receive a separate invoice in acknowledgement of the VAT payment.

4.
